Planet Atlantic’s song ‘We’ll Find A Way,’ (that I was a part of alongside Dave Carroll, Chelsea Nisbett, Kim Wempe, Carmel Mikol & Michael Redden) is a top 5 finalist for Nova Scotia in the CBC Radio 3/David Suzuki Foundation Playlist for the Planet.

We still need votes however and you can vote as many times as you’d like!
This is it folks, the last day of voting for WAKE (the short film I did the score for).
Anything you can do to help would be grand…

It’s apparently 5 votes per computer/phone.
Cheers
TONIGHT ON CBC!! 8pm Atlantic time. (Previously thought it was 9pm)
Short Film Face Off
This is it – voting starts tonight. This can be how you help the next film, Bone Deep, get made!
Short Film Face Off – Saturday – voting opens

Wake (the short film I did all of the music for!) on CBC on Saturday at 8pm: Short Film Face Off; then I would appreciate your votes. (Maximum of 5 per computer) or phone
If you have multiple computers or a way of persuading others to vote that’d be great.
If we win (EVERY vote really counts) then we could win a production deal with CBC.THANK YOU!!

What a great night at the Carleton the other night. Coco Love Alcorn stopped by along with her cousin Lindsay to sing some harmonies. Rob Szabo kicked it with his special brand of laid-back coolness and we ending the night all on stage together for a couple of well appreciated and humbling encores!
Missed it? Well, here’s a little show that may interest you. Norma MacDonald, Ria Mae, Jon Landry (the Stanfields) and myself are doing a song circle at the Company House in Halifax next Wednesday, August 4th and it’s only $8! What fun. Hope you can make it.
Also, this weekend I’ll be playing the Dragonfly in Antigonish for a summer festival with a few other amazing artists. Check out the link.

Tomorrow night is the gig with Rob Szabo at the Carleton in Halifax (9pm, $15). Rob is a great friend and fantastic songwriter. This is going to be a great show!
All I have to do is get back in time. Currently, I’m at the Vancouver airport with a stand-by ticket…
Happy Canada Day, everyone!
The summer is in full swing and I have more summer and fall dates posted, including the CD launch in Halifax and Toronto!
Also, just a quick note about a show I’m doing with Rob Szabo in Halifax at the lovely Carleton. Rob (as some of you in the know know) was the producer for “And Now The Fun Begins”, my new disc. He’s a talented songwriter and performer. Check out this facebook link for all the details!

What a great weekend of “Grandma Noda’s Tigers”. Wonderful houses and the play was really well received. Now on to the weekend. I’m playing the Dragonfly Cafe in Antigonish with Kim Dunn on Saturday. This is going to be a great show. Kim is awesome and this our first time playing together. Anything can happen! Hope to see you there.
I just have to tell you about a really fantastic play that’s happening in Halifax this week. “Grandma Noda’s Tigers” is a one man play written by Chris Little and it is truly inspired. One of the exciting things about what I do for a living is that I get to take part in things like this! I’m doing the sound design and music for Grandma Noda’s. It’s playing at the Neptune Theatre space May 2nd (4pm), 6th (7pm), 8th (7pm) and 9th (3pm). Tickets are $15.
Hope to see you there.
Been a while, I know, but things are sounding so good. I’m starting to get mixes for the new album and they are making me crazy with excitement! I’ll have it in my hot little hand soon, and so can you! I’m now setting the release date for September but there’s still plenty of time to check out the “crowd fund” page. It’s a great way to get a signed advanced copy of the disc (or much more!).
I’m also writing music for the Merritt awarding play “Grandma Noda’s Tigers” by Chris Little which is hitting the stage in the Super Nova Festival here in Halifax in May and doing my first tour of the States in a couple of months. More on that soon.
Cheers
Here’s a link to the short film “Wake” on the CBC website. I wrote the music for it. It was directed by Jeremy Webb and written by Jessica Marsh. Great experience! Can’t wait for the next call for something like this.
Click on “Feb 26″ then “Wake” on the right hand side of the screen.
